About Us

Youngstown Cultural Arts Center is an inclusive, contemporary multi-arts space based in the Delridge Neighborhood of Southwest Seattle that incubates and inspires new arts participants, art-makers and organizations from our multicultural, intergenerational communities in order to engage in civic dialogue and meaningful community transformation.

Youngstown is included in the national register of historic spaces. Hosting over 2,000 participants annually, Youngstown’s activities are divided into programs and services:

PROGRAMS

ARTS EDUCATION
Youngstown’s ALL ACCES program empowers local youth through sustained arts based learning experiences by collaborating to provide the space, people and resources necessary for youth to flourish in community, creativity, and self expression. This project offers diverse afterschool arts classes free of cost to local youth ages 13-20, teaching artists are hired individually or through the anchor tenant youth non profits.

SERVICES

AFFORDABLE SPACE FOR ARTISTS & COMMUNITY ARTS
Youngstown provides 36 live-work spaces for low-income artists of all disciplines. Youngstown rents high quality, affordable arts facilities for community arts and creative entrepreneurs, these facilities include a full theater, movement studio, recording studio, media lab and classroom space.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE IN THE PERFORMING ARTS:
Youngstown’s professional, friendly technical staff holds expertise in stage, lighting, sound, and event management, allowing users to present and perform at the highest level of quality at affordable rates.

CONSULTATION & PARTNERSHIP

ARTS SPACE DEVELOPMENT
AND CREATIVE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Youngstown partners intentionally and offers consultation and offers technical assistance to groups developing creative multi-use facilities, and groups seeking to engage diverse communities, especially youth, in successful community based initiatives.
